To Whom It May Concern:

Re: Nisar Keshvani

It gives me great pleasure to provide a reference for Nisar Keshvani. He was employed as a consultant to project manage the development of marketing websites for the Aga Khan Education Services (AKES) and Aga Khan Health Services (AKHS) from January 2003 to June 2004.

His diverse background – a combination of journalistic, web development, online strategising, and teaching skills – made him the ideal candidate to strategise, develop, and train staff and volunteers in various parts of the world.

AKES has a long tradition of leadership in educational development. It currently operates more than 300 schools and advanced educational programmes that provide quality pre-school, primary, secondary and higher secondary education services to more than 54,000 students in Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Kenya, Kyrgyz Republic, Uganda, Tanzania and Tajikistan. Schools are also envisaged, or under development, in Afghanistan, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Madagascar, Mali, Mozambique and Syria.

During Nisar’s 18-month stint, he worked with scores of individuals from eighteen schools, and seven hopitals in East Africa, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Tajikistan and the Krygyz Republic. His diverse background – a combination of journalistic, web development, online strategising, and teaching skills – made him the ideal candidate to strategise, develop, and train staff and volunteers in various parts of the world.

The challenge for Nisar was to identify the marketing needs of our complex organisation and collating quality content to be publicised on the Internet. He comfortably navigated across countries, cultures and worked independently with staff – from Chief Executive Officers to teachers to parents and students.

He impressed his colleagues with his enthusiasm, management skills and commitment to quality. In spite of his minimal physical contact with them, he was able to build a lasting rapport, essential for succesfully guiding the project to completion. They were astonished by his rapid responses, ability to digest large amounts of information and skill in grasping sophisticated medical and educational terminologies.

At a personal level, I found Nisar to be patient, polite, dedicated professional, focussed on delivering a website of international standards. He was a valuable asset on the team and a pleasure to work with.

I wish him every success in his future endeavours and highly recommend him for any assistance that can be provided to enable him to meet his goals. Please feel free to contact me should you have further queries.

Yours sincerely,
Mirza M Pardhan
